Welcome back to Week 8 of Spilling the Pilateas ☕️

If your inside leg feels busy… but not effective — this one’s for you.

Last week we focused on the mat Side-Lying Leg Series to build:

  • Hip stability

  • Length from hip to heel

  • Space through the waist

This week? We add feedback.

We’re bringing in the Magic Circle — just the ring is all you need (easy to find online).

Keep in Mind:

  • Last week’s stability and connection are your foundation.

  • The Magic Circle helps create length and strength in the inside leg.

  • We are still working that long line from hip to heel.

When lifting the bottom leg, reach it long before you lift it.

That reaching action is similar to how we wrap and lift around the horse’s belly — not by clamping, but by connecting.

And just like in the saddle:

  • Don’t clamp your leg on the horse.

  • Don’t clamp your leg on the ring.

The goal isn’t tension.

It’s tone.

It’s length.

It’s control with release.

Because better control and length in your inside leg helps you:

  1. Keep your leg quietly at the girth

  2. Create bend through the ribcage

  3. Support without gripping

  4. Prevent your hips from collapsing

Watch the video below to follow along.

Try adding this to your daily routine — and imagine the ring is your horse.

Next time you ride, notice:

  • Can you access that inside leg length?

  • Are you gripping less?

  • Does your horse feel more supported… but freer?

Let me know how it goes.

Steady and ready for the next ride.

Cheers,

Brooke ☕️✨
