Spilling the Pilateas | Neck Relief Routine Every Rider Needs

Welcome to Edition 11 of Spilling the Pilateas ☕️

This week, we’re focusing on something I see in almost every rider I work with—neck tension that quietly creeps in and starts to affect everything.

Your posture.

Your connection.

Your ability to follow the movement of your horse.

So instead of pushing through it, we reset.

In this video, I’m walking you through a simple foam roller neck series I use all the time with riders. We start with small nods to reconnect deep support, then layer in controlled tracing (think: drawing a circle with the tip of your nose), followed by gentle rotations and targeted stretches.

These are subtle movements—but they create big changes.

✨ When your neck releases, everything else can organize more easily:

– Your shoulders soften

– Your hands become quieter

– Your seat can follow more freely

– Your whole ride feels more connected

This is one of those routines you can come back to again and again—before you ride, after you ride, or anytime your body feels stuck.

Because sometimes, it’s not about doing more.

It’s about resetting what’s already there.
